Entrepreneur in (Virtual) Residence Scholarships
The Eric C. Douglass Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies recognizes the academic potential of successful entrepreneurs who have "made it big" without a BCom or an MBA. Experienced entrepreneurs, the recipients of this tuition-credit scholarship enhance our community as Entrepreneurs in (Virtual) Residence (EiVR).
An Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) is a term of art popular in the Venture Capital community. It describes a seasoned businessperson who provides practical guidance to a group of investors, and mentors start-up leaders. Similarly, as part of our virtual learning community, the EiVR is expected to serve as an entrepreneurship resource to their peers and to the university as a whole.
